Non-fiction: We are actively seeking good marketable non-fiction titles for publication. We are open to a wide range of genres, but are not interested in academic works or books aimed specifically at children. We are only interested in completed or well-developed manuscripts, not vague ideas. Interested writers should send an outline and sample chapters via email, and also tell us a little about themselves. Please do not send full manuscripts - if we would like to see more we will let you know. We try to respond to all submissions quickly, usually within a few weeks.
General advice: As a starting point for writers looking to approach publishers or agents we recommend the Writers' & Artists' Yearbook and Writer's Handbook, both containing contact details, plus useful articles on how and what to submit. (We also recommend that writers check publishers' websites before submitting to obtain the latest up to date submission requirements). Additionally, for writers looking to break into the US market, there is the US publication Writer's Market. We include a 'how to get published' module in our creative writing course, and we also publish occasional articles about getting published on our blog.
